I am from Shanghai, China.  Till September 2008, I will have been living here in Bristol for 7 years. I first came here to do my MEd in TEFL and then completed my PhD in Applied Linguistics, specialised in Cross-cultural Communication and Pragmatics. Now I am working as a Mandarin Chinese Co-ordinator at the Language Centre and Centre for East Asian Studies, University of Bristol. I am running all the Mandarin language programmes of the university.

I just purchased flat 27, Baldwin Lofts in June. I am hoping to rent it to international students or professionals, especially from China, because I have been through the process myself and understand the needs of overseas students and finding an excellent and safe location but with affordable price is one of the main factors of studying life abroad. I believe my flat can offer you all that. Apart from its central location to all main shopping areas, it’s also very close to a Chinese supermarket where you can almost find everything you need to make you feel less homesick.
